The Newest Member of the Morgan Family is Here...

Remember back in December when I said our best Christmas gift was finding out my sister and brother in law were pregnant?!? Well, it has been fun watching her belly grow, hearing her pregnancy stories, and experiencing this journey with them. And today the "surprise" baby entered the world on it's due date none the less. It's a Boy!!! We now have a new little nephew and we CANNOT wait to meet him in a few days.

Robert William
8 pounds 11 ounces
19 inches long

Way to go Tay!!! She did it all natural. Is she a rock star or what??

Welcome to the world little man!! We love you so much already!!

Father's Day Weekend

With all he does for us...we were excited to celebrate Him this weekend. We had a lot of fun with Daddy. Friday night we did "tent city." We all slept in the game room in our "tent." We played, sang, danced, read books, and told ghost stories. It was fun.
Saturday morning we got up and went to breakfast at our favorite little breakfast joint, The Egg and I. After some berry french toast, green chili eggs, and hazelnut coffee we headed to Academy. What guy doesn't like that store? We prowled around there and picked up a few fishing poles and then headed home. We put the kids down early and then went to an early dinner when they woke up. We ate at the Melting Pot. The kids love fondue. We had a yummy meal of I'm pretty sure everything they offer there...
and then it was home for our family wii competition.

After a little Mario Olympics with the kids, Frank and I put the kids to bed and relaxed.

This morning Ellie was eager to tell Daddy Happy Father's Day at 6:15 AM. So I took her out so Daddy could sleep in. We went and got Daddy his favorite HEB chocolate chip muffins and coffee at Starbucks. Luckily he was still in bed by the time we got home so we could serve him in bed. :)
Hadley got in a fight with her chocolate chip muffin and apparently she lost...
Then it was off to church, the mall (to pick out Daddy a new swimsuit), and then back home for a whole lot of swimming and snowcones.
It was a jam packed weekend, but was actually relaxing to do what we wanted, when we wanted. We had no where we had to be and that was really nice. :) Happy Father's Day to the best Daddy in the entire world. We hope you had fun as we celebrated you and all you do for us!! XOXOXO

Ellie Belly..

Tonight Ellie was with me in her room and asked me to get down a dress up dress that had gotten hung in her closet. I gave it to her and she was smiling soooo big. I had no clue what the dress what going to be tonight. But all of the sudden she hurried and put it on and told me Daddy was going to be SOOOO excited. I walked into the other room and I hear her yell down to Frank, "Daaaadddy....your going to be sooooo excited....wait til you see your little love girl." And she ran downstairs and ran as fast as she could with the biggest smile into his arms. She quickly informed him that they were getting married and that he was her husband and I (Mommy) was now a kid. He was only married to her. She held Franks hand all around the house. Held his hand outside as he was doing stuff to the pool. Kept telling him, "Be careful and don't let my wedding dress get wet." And she told him that after he works downstairs, she wants him to come snuggle her in her bed. She is smitten with her Daddy. I used to think it was just a phase...but I am starting to think she may not come back around to me. It sure is cute to see her so in love with him. And was too cute to not document on here. The girl loves her Daddy!!

VBS

The kids had a FUN week of VBS. They do VBS at this same church every year and I must say this year was the best so far. It helped that we had told a lot of our friends about it and many of them came, so it was a giant play date all week.
Gavin has become quite the little prayer in our family. He usually recites the same few prayers at dinner and bedtime and now he is having long drawn out talks with God. It is so cute to hear his prayers and what is in his heart. And Ellie keeps asking about Heaven. She wants to know what it's like and how we get there. I love watching my kids grow and learn- especially spiritually.

7 Years

Seven Years Ago today:

They call it the seven year itch. But so far each year just seems to get better and better.

Saturday Frank planned for us to have a night out to celebrate our anniversary early. We spent the night out at the same place we stayed on our wedding night. We got there early and took full advantage of the resort spa and steam room. We even showered there getting ready for our big date. Went to the same place we had our rehearsal dinner at and eat at every anniversary, Amerigos. Then went back to our hotel room where chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne were waiting, just like our wedding night. Then the next morning the kids came and met us and we spent the day swimming, water sliding, and eating poolside at the resort. It was a great way to celebrate our anniversary!!

Happy Anniversary to the man of my dreams!
I love our life.
I love the little family and life we have created.
And I love you more than words could ever describe!!
I do know how lucky I am.

Summer Camps

Gavin did Tennis Camp this past week and loved it. He played tennis the first half of the morning and then went swimming the second half. It was a big hit!! He is already asking me to sign him up for another week.

Ellie, had Fancy Nancy Camp this past week. She got to dress up like Fancy Nancy and accessorize. Needless to say she loved it! She played Fancy Nancy Games, got her finger and toe nails painted, glitter make-up and hair, fancy tattoos, ate a special tea party lunch and danced... What girl wouldn't love that??

No camp for Hadley...but a cute picture...while Ellie was getting dolled up one morning her boa was laying around and Hadley put it on and was running all over the house. She loved it!!

And she didn't forget her morning kiss to Tippy!! She kisses Tippy through the window a couple times a day, I think it's the sweetest thing and was so happy to get a picture of it...

Summer has Arrived and It's Been B-U-S-Y!!

I totally stink about updating the ol' blog. Life has just been BUSY. With the kids home every day we've been doing lots of things. Lots of swimming, slip n sliding, reading, playing games, playdates, more playdates, and crafts. When I was little my mom always bought a bunch of things for us to do in the summer. Crafts, books, games, sprinklers, etc...and I have carried on the tradition. The kids have had fun exploring and playing with their new summer stuff. I must admit it has been nice to wake up and NOT have to be anywhere. To NOT have lunches to pack. To stay in our jammies as long as we'd like. It's been nice. Especially since the last few weeks I have been battling a sinus infection that after three weeks if FINALLY gone.
Here are a few pictures from the last two weeks....

This is the neighborhood girl posse at our house. You invite one and they all follow to play. They love playing with the kids. I love these girls!!

Hadley loved watching our butterflies fly around...

Playing outside...I love Hadley's Droopy Drawers in this picture...

There have been three birthdays in the family...my brother in law Larry turned 40 on the 25th. My sister in law, Laura turned 32 on the 28th, and my little brother Cord turned 29 on June 3rd. Happy birthday to all of you!!! We got to celebrate with my little brother last week, which is always fun. It is still hard for me to believe he will be 30 next year!!

And two anniversaries...
My parents celebrated their 40th on the 29th. I love that my parents have known each other since Kindergarten. I love that they went to the 6th grade dance together. That they were high school sweethearts and that they are still as in love today as they were 40 years ago. Through thick and thin they have made it work and are just gaga over each other. What an awesome example they have been for us.

And today Scott and Tay are celebrating their 6th anniversary!! Happy anniversary guys!! Enjoy your last anniversary before you sweet baby gets here!!

Whew... lots of "Big" days this last month!!

Life continues to be busy in our little world. Summer is definitely in full swing. And unfortunately blogging has taken a backseat as I just can't seem to find the time that I used to....
