4 Kids 4 and Under?

Today I had Lexie over to play with the kiddos. I had Frank put our extra car seat in the car last night and then went to pick her up this morning. I got all of my three in the car and then drove to pick up Lexie. When she came outside she was wearing the same outfit Ellie and Hadley had on. (It was not planned) We went and picked up some chick-fil-a and then headed over to an indoor playground at a local church. That is when the looks began. People kept looking at me trying to figure out if ALL FOUR kids were mine. I could see the wheels turning as I got all four out of the car, was opening all their kids meals and getting them situated at a table to eat. Then in the indoor playground area a lady asked me where I buy my kids clothes because the girls just all looked adorable matching!! I didn't even blink as I told her where she too could get their outfits. I am sure she totally thought I had 4 Kids 4 and under. And Frank thinks we get looks now with three kids. Haaa!! We had such a fun day. Having an extra kid around actually makes life a little easier on me because they entertain each other. Although, I must say looking back in the burban at 4 car seats looks like A LOT of KIDDOS. But, the more the merrier....right??

Dash and Fancy Nancy

Today the kids got to dress up for school. Gavin was so excited that he woke up at 6am. We were thrilled for that after getting up with Hadley twice and the dog three times last night. But, it was cute that he was soooo excited. Gavin is Dash from Incredibles today and Ellie is Fancy Nancy. Here are some pictures of my crazy, adorable kiddos that LOVED to dress up this morning:

A Weekend With No Plans...Is that Possible??

We had our first weekend in months that we had NOTHING, NOTHING to do. No plans at all. IT WAS SO NICE. We tried for a date, but our poor sitters car broke down so we had to reschedule. But we had a fabulous weekend anyway. The weather was beautiful. I ran with my running group Saturday morning and then came home to some starbucks and we all went out and cruised around. We had lunch and went on a bike ride. Hadley had her first bike ride on my bike with her helmet. The helmet didn't last though because it wouldn't fit her head-she's still a little too little for it. For the first few minutes the helmet was covering her eyes. But she loved the ride once the helmet came off. (Don't worry...I was REALLY careful) Then we came home and each made our own pizza, and then we had our neighbors over for a game night. We had so much fun learning how to play hearts. Sunday we had a relaxing day also with church, hanging out and playing in the pool. It was a GREAT weekend. :0)

Gavin & Ellie's Big Night Out

Last week Gavin's Papa made plans to have him over for the night. Gavin has only stayed away from us one night except for us going out of town and being in the hospital when we had E and H. So, yesterday morning Gavin asked about his sleepover all day long. When were we going to pack? What were we going to pack? Which movie could he bring over? What time would Papa be there to pick him up? He was giddy with excitement. Well, we were keeping it on the down low for Ellie because we knew she would be upset. But we had to eventually tell her and of course with our little drama queen we had big tears. But they quickly dried up when I told her Gavin was going to Papa's so we could have a special night with her. (It's just a little white lie...when they have good intentions..they aren't that bad, right?) Anyway, when Gavin went on his guys night out we took Ellie to Market Street. We met Lexie, Stacey and Greg and Ellie couldn't have been more thrilled. Dinner was great and then we went and walked around. The girls enjoyed the police horse, riding on their daddy's shoulders and then playing in a princess chair at Kirkland's while Stacy and I browsed. When we got home Ellie was soooo excited to get to sleep with us in our bed. She wanted to snuggle all night. She had a really good time but first thing this morning she was wondering when Gav would be coming home. I could tell she missed him. And he called before bed and after breakfast to talk to her and Hadley- he missed them too. Even though they drive each other crazy...they share such a special little bond and I love to see it. Anyway, both of their Big nights out were Fabulous!! Here are a few pics:

You are the only Nanny I have ever known and I love you with all of my heart. You are such an inspiration and I think I can speak for the entire Carpenter Clan when I say we hope to be like you. You amaze us with all your activities...Volunteering at the hospital and hand me up shop, lunch bunch, and garden club. I love that you are so active. Thanks for being an awesome Grandma and Great Nanny. We are so happy to be celebrating your 88th birthday with you today.

Pumpkin Patch
There is nothing like trying to get a good picture of three kids. It is nearly impossible with this trio...but we had fun trying anyway. The kids had a blast picking out their pumpkins today and I had fun as usual, following them around pretending to know what I'm doing with my fancy shmancy camera. Luckily there were no tears- they usually save that for the Christmas Photo shoot. LOL. Hopefully we can do some bribing and get a good one this year. Anyway, too many pictures but believe it or not, I did narrow them down. Enjoy and Happy Fall!!
