Florida 2012

Florida this year welcomed us with LOADS of BROWN, THICK seaweed and cloudy rainy weather- but we still had a great week. This year we had a few more families tag along, renting houses near us, and we all had a fabulous time.

We started the trip with a few Parrot Heads...

This was the girls 6th year of vacation together...

The Gibsons stopped in for a few days on their way to Disney. We had fun playing with them on the beach....

We spent one day in Panama City.... at Pier Park.
The kids enjoyed Zip Lining...
Rock Climbing...
And the Bungee Trampoline...

We hunted for crabs with flash lights a few nights.

YOLO boarded and surfed...

We Kayaked...

We enjoyed spending time with our friends...

Here are a few of my favorites from the trip....

Another year of great memories...

We LOVE Florida!!!!

River Front Property

Little did we know that when we bought our new house we were buying RIVER front property. We were a little surprised after a few days off rain when the acres behind our house no long looked grassy...but more like a gushing river that was creeping up to our iron fence.

The water started going down after the rain stopped...but that didn't stop some strangers from kayaking down the rapids....

It was great entertainment all day.
Another reason we are loving our new house....
Can't wait for the next big rain!

Happy Birthday America

We woke up early and went and met the Gibson's at our neighborhood parade. It was PACKED but we found the Gibson crew and watched the RED, WHITE, AND BLUE Parade.

Then we came home to swim and grill out. But first I took some pictures of the kids in the backyard on the hammock.

And then told the girls to kiss Gavin--he was thrilled....

But it made for some cute pictures. :)

We stuffed ourselves silly, and played some games until it was time to go to the fireworks.
I made this yummy Phyllis Hoffman dessert.....it was SO GOOD...

REALLY GOOD...

Then we went to watch the fireworks with a few other people...

We went to the roof of a parking garage and had GREAT seats with a GREAT view.

I love this "make a funny face" picture...for all of you who laugh when I say Hadley has a BIG mouth...she really does...this picture is proof!

The kids danced and played chase on the rooftop until it was time for the fireworks show.

And then they began....in the 34 years that I have lived in this same town, I have NEVER seen a show quite like this..it was an impressive one this year.

Happy Birthday America!!
