Kitty Cat

Hadley Faith was very excited for her Fall Festival at school. On Wednesday she got to dress up in her costume and she was MORE than EXCITED. She was a "Kitty Cat." Ellie was the same kitty cat when she was 2. The costume is a size 18 month. I thought there would be NO WAY of squeezing a 3.5 year old into it, but surprisingly it worked. Ha! We got some new ears and a tail as the original are lost, and she became the kitty cat she wanted to be. She was so happy. She is such a sweet, loving girl these days. I love our little kitty cat!

WWE

Months ago when asking Gavin what he wanted for his birthday he told us, "WWE tickets." Frank loved playing with wrestlers when he was a kid and Gavin was introduced to wrestling last year on his birthday. Gavin LOVES it. Frank bought him tickets and surprised Gavin with them. He took him on Tuesday night and they had a blast. He was out WAY PAST HIS BEDTIME. But I know he made a great memory with his Dad. Frank took a few pictures with his phone and sent them to me throughout the night. ;0)

Landry Brooke

On Wednesday I got to experience the miracle of childbirth. It was definitely the highlight of my year. My sweet friend had asked me after she found out she was pregnant, to be in the room. And I have been excited ever since. I was honored to get to witness and watch her baby girl come into the world. Stacy was a trooper and did an AMAZING job! And little Miss Landry is healthy, perfect, and just BEAUTIFUL!! She was born at 12:28 pm weighing just what her Mama had guessed, 7lbs. 3oz. I am so excited to watch this little girl grow and to be a part of her life. No matter how many times you give birth or witness birth, it is truly a miracle every single time. God is good. Welcome to the world, Landry!! What a blessing you are!

Bowling, Laser Tag, and Games

Gav celebrated his 8th birthday a little early this past weekend. 17 of his closest buddies met us at Main Event for a three hour shin-dig of bowling, laser tag, pizza, and arcade games. They had a blast but the laser tag was definitely the big hit of the day. It was a happy early birthday for my little man. Two more weeks and my first baby will be 8.

Catching up

Been Busy.

Been going non stop since last week. Frank was out of town for two days and the kids and I had some bonding time. We made homemade pizza and I surprised them with the Lion King. I love the new release. We got it in 3D along with Blue Ray. So fun! The kids love the movie as much as I used to.

This week Nanny celebrated her 91st birthday. We took her out to Pappadeaux's for dinner to celebrate. She is 91, but you would think she is much younger. I swear she is more with it than I am. I so hope her genes are strong in me. She was so cute as the restaurant sang Happy Birthday to her. I think she had a great birthday.

The next day was Muffins with Mom. The two big kids and I left bright and (too) early. But it was fun.

Then Hadley went to spend the day with my mom so that I could chaperon Ellie and her class on their field trip. :) We went to 7 Acre Woods. The kids all loved it. It was all fun and games until I lost a kid. Luckily we found him.

Today was Book Character Parade. Gavin's new addiction to baseball and the Cardinals being in the World Series prompted his book, Meet the Cardinals. And Ellie's love of Taylor Swift and the fact that we are going to see her in a few weeks prompted her Book, Taylor Swift. ;0)

We went to take pictures of the parade for yearbook this morning, the kids were all so cute!!

Ellie gave a quick smile...

But with Gavin it took a lot of screaming his name to get him to even look our way...But we got a quick wave...

Kids had a half day of school today so we just got back from a special lunch- McDonalds. The kids know it's a special day when we get to eat there. ;0)

We are continuing the trend with a busy weekend, but we are looking forward to it.

FAMILY PICTURES

People are not put in our lives by accident. This past year I have thought a lot about that. And I have been so thankful for the people God has placed in my life. My dear friend Rachel Honeyman is one of them. And Rachel just happens to be an amazing photographer as well. She took our family pictures this year and designed our Christmas cards. She did a fabulous job. I had trouble deciding on what to use for a Christmas card because she gave me 122 pictures to choose from. The ones below are a few of my favorites that we did not use for the card. As you can see, she is one gifted girl! She has a huge talent and we were beyond thrilled with all the pictures she took of us. Thanks again Rachel!!
