Hadley's Dance Recital

Hadley had her dance recital on Sunday. It was such a cute dance and she did great. I was so proud of her. She nailed it and looked rather precious while doing so.

Mother's Day...

I really could care less about Mother's Day for me. But I love how excited my kids get. I was ordered to not get out of bed. But finally at 9, it was hard to stay in bed much longer. So I got up and found this little man in the kitchen working away making me blueberry pancakes all on his own.

And this little cutie who wanted to carry my breakfast to me.

My favorite thing to get are the homemade gifts. So special and sweet.

I was doing fine until I read Gavin's fill in the blank style card and then I lost it.

My mom is...Loving. She is always nice.
My mom wonders... if we love her and we do.
My mom hears...us saying I love you.
My mom sees...us with big smiles on our faces about to hug her.
My mom wants... to go to heaven someday. (this is when I completely lost it)
My mom is...the best mom in the world.

Oh how I love that boy!

I was also spoiled rotten with a pedicure certificate, a north face rain jacket, and a new foam pool float.
We spent the day in the pool relaxing. Frank made pina coladas and grilled turkey sliders with baked beans, and potato salad. And we topped it off with a strawberry pie. It was a very relaxing day. I was either in pajamas or a bathing suit all day.
My mom and Grandma stopped by and took a dip in the pool with us as well.

I am so thankful for my mom. I am so lucky and blessed to have her to call mom. I am so lucky for the role model she is for me to try to be. She is so loving, caring, and has always had such a close relationship with all of us, and keeping us all close. I hope that I will be the mom to my kids that she is to me.

And as for me being a Mom. I just feel so incredibly lucky to be these three kiddo's Mama. The first thing I did when I woke up on Mother's Day was thank God for my wonderful kids and hubby. It has always been a dream of mine to be a Mom and I am so thankful that I have been entrusted with these kiddos. I am beyond blessed!

Another Season of Baseball In the Books...

Gavin just finished his Spring Season of baseball. He had a great time and met a lot of new friends this season. He fell in love with being short stop and still loves pitching too. He is really aggressive in the field which is strange to see on such a non-aggressive child. It was a long season with practice and games 4-6 times a week. We were ready for a break, but sad that it's over all at the same time. Here are a few pictures that I took of him this season.

One of his last games when he was pitching Frank was helping assistant coach and was at first base with the opposing teams coach. The coach went to Frank and said, "Man, this pitcher is good." Frank chuckled and thanked him because he told him that was his son. Then at the last game I was taking pictures and another team was watching our game and one guy said, "That Shortstop has got an arm." I then thanked him and let him know that he was MY son. :)
It wasn't the teams best season, but Gavin still enjoyed himself. He has decided to take a break from baseball in the Fall but will continue in the Spring. What will he be playing in the Fall???? It pains me to admit that after three years we have agreed to let him play tackle football. Let's hope I don't regret this decision!! Until next Spring...
Adios Baseball!
