Thanksgiving In McAllen

My new little nephew was born in October and we have been dying to see him in person. So we decided to make the drive and see them for Thanksgiving. He is a doll, just like his brother Bear. We were so excited to see all of them and get to spend time with them.
This is the newest Morgan, Liam. We are in love:

I love that even though we are far apart, our kiddos are close and love each other. I love listening to them talk on the phone. It is so sweet. They can talk for hours if we'd let them. Face time is such an awesome thing for family far away!
Robert is such a great big brother and is so much fun these days. The kids love him as you can see in the pictures below...

Aunt Tay got craft kits for the kids to do. Ellie had fun learning how to make new stitches and sewed up a cute little tree with Aunt Tay. Gavin and Hads made puppets.

They played "washers" with Uncle Scotty.

We gave Liam and Robert their Christmas gifts:

And I took a few pictures of this new little love in our lives:

And snapped a few for their Christmas Card:

Thanksgiving was great. Tay made a brined turkey and ordered all the sides from Cracker Barrel. I was a little hesitant about the Cracker Barrel, but it was FABULOUS! And EASY!! It was definitely a great idea and we had such a wonderful time.
Sadly a few hours after dinner Ellie started looking pale and lethargic...and soon after that she was nauseous...so we quickly left not wanting to pollute anyone. It was a long night as she had a stomach bug and we decided to drive home the next day in hopes to not get anyone sick. Thankfully, Ellie was the only one to get hit with it. She was a trooper on the long car ride home.
We didn't get to spend as much time as we would have liked with the other Morgan Crew, but we sure had a great time while we did.

Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast

Hadley had her Thanksgiving Feast at school and was so excited for us to come and watch her sing a few song and have a feast. She got to choose between being a Pilgrim or an Indian and she chose to be a Pilgrim.

Cutest little Pilgrim I ever have seen! Her Kindergarten year is flying by way too fast!

Installed and ready to go. Gavin has been outside non-stop.
In the cold...
In his PJ's...
ANY CHANCE HE GETS!
It was a great gift for our active little man!
I see many games of Horse and Pig in our future! ;0)

Houston Texans Football Game

For Gavin's birthday we got tickets to see the Houston Texans. Frank was lucky to get us boxed seats from a friend. The seats were great! We tail gated with his friend and his dad who have season tickets.

Pretty good view:

He loves his Texans:

And the girls had fun too:

We had a great time (Even if they did lose to one of the worst teams in the NFL)!!! :)
Better luck next year Texans!

School Turkeys

Ellie had to decorate a turkey with her family...what did she do? Blinged it of course!

And Hadley had to disguise a turkey...what did she want to disguise it as?!? Herself.....in her cheer uniform...shocker! LOL!

Love these girls and their turkeys!

The Woodlands Highschool Football Game

For Gavin's birthday he didn't really care to have a party, he just wanted to go to a Woodlands High School football game. So we went to two. The first game it started pouring down rain so we left at half time. The second game we brought a few of his buddies along with us.
Before the game we had pizza and opened up a few gifts his friends had brought him:

Then it was off to the game:

After a Highlander win, we came home and had Chocolate Chip Pound Cake:

And the boys stayed up REALLY late playing...(and wrapping the inside of our house)...LOL.

My Little Man Turns TEN!

Holy Cow. Gavin turned Ten on November 6th. So hard to believe that my sweet boy is in the double digits now. He is growing like a weed, is super smart, and still has the sweetest heart. We are beyond blessed to have him in our lives and as our son. I am a lucky Mama.
This year he has grown up a lot. He is starting to get his Daddy's sense of humor and loves to joke around. School still comes very easy to him and the kid loves to read. Chapter book, after chapter book---and big books like Harry Potter. He can read them in 1-2 days. His latest obsession is sports books. He loves reading autobiographies about different players. While most parents say, "you need to read," we find ourselves saying, "You need to go to bed...put the book down!"
He still loves spending time with us which we are trying to cherish while it lasts. He loves his buddies but loves having them over at our house. He also tells us everything, and we hope that continues as he grows into his teenage years.
He has been blessed as a natural athlete. He doesn't seem to know what his favorite sport is but everything he tries he tends to do pretty well at. He is very much into hygiene. He showers, and brushes his teeth without us asking, and he loves to wear cologne. He also started to wear deodorant this year. And Girls---although he won't admit it.....and gets rather embarrassed when we even mention it...we have been told by several parents that the girls like him. And we had our first girl visitors the other day. A group of girls came over to give him a birthday gift and then they ran away--LOL. Our little boy is growing up. I can hardly believe that this is his last year of elementary school. I wish time would just slow down. Happy 10th Birthday Gavin, We LOVE you more than you will ever know!
Here is a little on how he spent his day:
Donuts and starbucks for breakfast--a Morgan Tradition.

Then he opened up his gifts from us. Sportswear (pretty much all he likes to wear these days), books, Infinity game for the Wii U, Houston Texans tickets, and a new Basketball goal that will be installed soon!

After school our family came over to celebrate.

His birthday dinner is always the same, Spaghetti and Meatballs with Italian Sausage.

I think he enjoyed celebrating the big "10!"
