New Years Eve

We spent New Years Eve with the same couples that we have for as long as I can remember. It is fun to think back to even before we were married to now with lots of kiddos. We alternate houses and this year it was at ours. We had a fun time eating, watching the LSU game, doing fireworks, and laughing.

Christmas

The kids were super excited about Christmas. So excited that Frank and I were woken up at 4am to the girls telling us everything they had seen under the tree. We missed their initial reaction. But, we managed to get them back to sleep in bed with us until 6:30.

They each got a big gift and then got a few little gifts as well. When we went to see Santa Ellie and Hadley asked for Rollerblades, which they both got. Now all of us have them---watch out world!! Gavin didn't ask for anything. He really couldn't think of what he wanted for Christmas. But I think he was pretty excited with what he got! Ellie's big gift was a keyboard. Hadley's was a pink power wing scooter, and Gavin got the new Wii U. They each loved their gifts.

We opened up presents..

After presents we had breakfast and watched the Disney parade on T.V.

Then we got dressed and headed over to my parents for the Carpenter Christmas.

Christmas was cut a little short with them this year because my brother and sister had a friend pass away tragically right before Christmas, and his funeral was in Dallas the next day. My brother was a pallbearer. With the big storm that blew in they had to leave early. Although we didn't get to spend the time with them that we would have liked to, it was nice seeing them for the time that they were here. We are hoping they will come back soon. :)

We got home and cracked out the new Wii U. It really is so much fun and the graphics are so much better than our old wii. Gavin is in love with all the sports games, but the girls and I are in love with the new Sing It. :)

It was a Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve with the Morgans

After making cookies, we got ready to head over to Tic Tacs house for Christmas with the Morgans. We always look forward to the annual Lobster and french fry dinner. We had a fun night celebrating with them but we missed Scott, Tay, and Bear. But we did get to face time them while we were there. The kids really love their cousins and had fun playing with them and looking on the computer watching Santa travel to different places.

After celebrating with everyone we headed home to get ready for bed. But we couldn't go to sleep without reading Twas the Night Before Christmas. This year Ellie and Gavin read it to us. It was cute watching them take turns reading. :)

Christmas Eve Cookies for Santa

Frank worked Christmas Eve because the market was open. Boo. But he was able to get off work early and we went to eat lunch at the French Tea Room with his family which is a Morgan tradition. We had a yummy lunch and then rushed home to make cookies for Santa, and to deliver cookies to our neighbors.

Christmas Card

For the Blog Book...here is our Christmas Card and Frank's Christmas letter from this year.

Dear Family and Friends,
Merry Christmas to each of you from this tribe of the Morgan family. We feel extremely blessed for all that 2012 allowed us to experience, and the opportunities it provided to us. We were fortunate enough to celebrate some big milestones, and hope that you all were able to do the same. Thank you so much for your friendship, love, and support. We sincerely hope that you take time this holiday season to give thanks for all of your blessings, and that 2013 provides you with wonderful health and all the happiness you deserve.
The biggest news of the year was Lacey getting the “All Clear” from her doctors. We are unbelievably grateful that her treatments worked and that she has started to feel better. Lacey and I also celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary this year. Given those two events, we decided to celebrate our anniversary in June by going on a bucket list trip. We decided to travel to the amazing island of Bora Bora, and it was absolutely perfect for celebrating those two major life events together. This was definitely the trip of a lifetime, and we appreciate so much being able to go. We also were fortunate enough to move to our new “forever home” in the Spring. We absolutely love our new house and neighborhood and spent some time renovating it from top to bottom. Other than that, we spent the rest of the year as we usually do; attending baseball games, cheerleading practices, and dance recitals. We honestly love every second of watching these fantastic kids grow and learn.
Gavin turned 9 this year and still loves baseball. Gavin remains extremely laid back and loving, until he steps on the field. This was his first year playing Kid Pitch, and he really enjoyed it and excelled as a pitcher. Gavin still really enjoys school and is doing very well in the classroom. Gavin continues to be an excellent big brother to his two sisters and we could not be more proud of our little man and the adult size heart he has.
Ellie turned 7 this year and has really come into her own. Ellie is enjoying first grade and really likes her teacher. She still loves cheer and actually moved up to a back flip class this year. Even though it scares mom and dad to watch her do these advanced skills, we are very proud of what she has been able to accomplish. Ellie has a very warm and nurturing personality, and has definitely blossomed in to our little lady. We are extremely thankful for Ellie and all she brings to our family.
Hadley is now 4, but going on 13! She remains the spark plug of our family, and brings a lot of smiles to our faces. Hadley is in her last year of preschool, and will join Gavin and Ellie in elementary school next year. She enjoys weekly dance class and cheer as well. Hadley is a bundle of fun whose personality is much larger than her little body. We are very grateful for all of the smiles and love she adds to our lives.
Thank you all for being a part of our lives and all that you do. We hope that 2013 is a fantastic year for you and your family.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Love,
The Morgan Family
