Disney World- Day 5

Animal Kingdom was the fifth day. Once again we had breakfast reservations in the park before it opened.
We took a few pictures in front of the Tree of Life before the crowds came on our way to breakfast.

Then we headed to the Tusker House for breakfast. Another amazing meal to start our day. And we got to enjoy breakfast with Donald Duck and his friends again.

We were done with breakfast minutes before the park opened so we walked to the Safari ride and were the first Safari of the day---SCORE!! What a treat to ride in the jeep and see all the animals roaming around us. There were so many animals that our zoo does not have, and to have them so close was a fun experience.

After the Safari, we wasted no time to head to what was one of our favorite rides in all of disney--- Expidition Everest.

Hadley was dissappointed that she wasn't tall enough to ride. We took turns using swap passes.

Then we headed to meet Doug and Russel from Up.

We rode the Dinosaur ride...

We saw the Lion King Show that the kids got to be a part of.

We only spent half a day in Animal Kingdom. It was the first day that our Park Hopper passes would come in handy. We pretty much saw everything so we did one last ride before leaving, the Kali River....we got soaked and then headed back...

For Dinner I had heard that the best restaurant in Disney World was the California Grill. I had made us reservations months before and we timed it so that we could be there while the firework show was going on at Magic Kingdom. While the show is going on they dim the lights and play the firework music and since we are high and above Magic Kingdom, we had the best view. It was truly magical and the food lived up to the hype. We had some of the best sushi and scallops we have ever eaten.

The kids each got their own sushi plate for dessert:

And like every other restaurant this week, Frank got to blow out another candle for his upcoming birthday.

We love Disney World!
