FALL BALL

Gavin had baseball tryouts a few weeks ago. He was the very first kid of the day to tryout in his age division, but happened to be in a group with one of his longest known friends, Cullen. These two have known each other since Cullen and his twin brother were brought home from the hospital after being born....so pretty much...their entire lives. They both did awesome at tryouts and were drafted 1st and 2nd to the same team this year.

They were also both selected to be pitchers for their team (along with Gav's other good buddy Graham who I don't have a picture of). The last few weeks they have been practicing with their team but also doing pitching practice. Up until this year it has been machine pitch...so this will be a whole new Ball Game.

They are on the Atlanta Braves.

We can't wait for their first game!!!

Hadsters First Day of School

Finally...the long awaited first day of school came for Hadley. She hates that the older kids get to start before her and every day since they went back I have been asked, "When do I get to go." She LOVES school. This year she has one of my good friends, Robyn as her teacher.

Robyn and I officially met and became friends when we were both teachers. However after talking over the years we realized that we were in the same Honor Choir in 4th grade and performed together. We also went to Washington D.C. together in 8th grade. We were never at the same school, but we were in the same school district so we were together on the trip. We have tons of pictures of us together. So funny!! And then we ended up teaching at the same school and have been friends ever since.

Hadley was SOOO happy to have her as her teacher this year!! I know it will be a great year. I can not believe this is her last year at SonKids Preschool. This is our 8th and final year there. I can't even think about it, because it makes me sad to think that this is our last year. I love her school! I also can not believe that next year she will be in Kindergarten and I will be home all alone without my side kick. Wahhhh....

Here is my baby girl on her first day of Pre-K.

And her with her teacher and my friend, Ms. Robyn.

Frank

We have known for awhile that Frank's company was going to get bought out. It became official September 1st. Although, they are keeping the same name, Interconn- Tauber Oil owns the majority of their company now. Tauber is a Houston based company. This means a few changes for Frank.

For our entire marriage, Frank has either worked from home or Market Street (which is extremely close to home). We are used to seeing him in the mornings and close to 5:30 in the evenings. We are used to having lunch dates, and him going shopping with us on market street during lunch. The kids are used to having him pop in their school for lunch and be at their class parties. We are used to seeing Daddy a lot.

Well...Tauber owns their own building in the River Oaks area (Not close to home). And Frank is running the gas trading division. Sooo....guess who has to dress up a little more for work and commute?!?!?

Yep...

Last week he had his first week of commuting. It wasn't too bad. He leaves at 5:45am so we missed seeing him for breakfast. I missed him making the kids lunches and all his help in the morning. Thankfully, he has been leaving the office early (4pm-ish) to miss the traffic home so the commute is only an hour (yes without traffic) and he is home still around 5:30ish.

Here is Daddy on his first day to the new office last week:

We miss not having him close by all the time but are so proud of him too!!! He is really excited to be running the Trading division. And we are once again thankful for a job that he loves.
