We were sitting inside playing games when I had a brilliant idea. I asked Gavin, "Want to ride your bike with no training wheels?" He said maybe for real quick but then he wanted to go to the park. I could tell he was nervous. Well, after finding a wrench and taking the wheels off, I ran with him about five times up the street. Hadley and Ellie sat on the driveway cheering him on. And then I let go...and guess what...he rode his bike for the first time without training wheels on his own. He was so proud of himself, and I was so proud of him. He quickly forgot about the park and just wanted to keep riding his bike. Daddy if your reading this- he is VERY ANXIOUS to show you what he can do when you get home!!
Way to go Gavmo!!

They grow up so fast. Kaden still wants his training wheels on until he is 5..... that is what he says now. Glad you all survived Ike!
yay gavin!!!!! i saw you in action and you looked awesome riding that bike without training wheels! we're so proud of you (especially clara!) ;)
Way to go buddy! You were doing great today! It was nice that later in the day Kendra and Sydney were "helping" him with advice. Isn't that sort of like the blind leading the blind?
I'm very proud of you big guy! Keep it up!

gavin looked like a pro on his two wheels...i had no idea it was a new development! go gavin!
Glad to see you have power again! You guys are amazing for sticking it out there with all the kiddos and no A/C! Your pictures are the worst I have seen, which makes me wonder about our old house. I am waiting to here from neighbors, but our street was prone to flooding on a good day??? Hope everything is getting back to normal.
