45 minutes before we were to meet all of our neighbors and friends at the park, in typical Ellie fashion, Ellie woke up from her nap and decided she was over Fancy Nancy and really wanted to be a cheerleader. Luckily for her she got a dress up cheer outfit for her birthday so I didn't fight her on it. Gavin was Dash from the Incredibles and for Hadley's first Halloween she was an adorable little purple fairy. Our neighborhood is a front porch neighborhood and Halloween is REALLY a big deal here. You feel like you're in a Potterybarn magazine as you walk the streets and see the decorated porches. My parents don't get many trick or treaters and really wanted to see the kids dressed up so they came over to hand out candy at our house while we roamed the neighborhood. Thanks for not letting us be the slackers on the street Mom and Dad!
