Big Sky, Montana

One of Frank's favorite trips he goes on...skiing in Montana. This past week he took some customer friends on a trip to Big Sky, Montana. He had a much needed break, and had a blast. And he made sure to send us pictures from his phone while he was there. I must say, it looks beautiful!! I can see why he always looks forward to this trip. Maybe someday they'll do a "wives" trip to the cabin. :)

Kindergarten Program and Rodeo

It was a big week in Kindergarten. Gav had his big Kindergarten Program this past Tuesday night and it was adorable. They have been working on it for WEEKS and he has been singing me the songs for what seems like months. I was so proud of him. He smiled and sang, and did all the motions and did a fantastic job on his little dance. He did such a good job that we celebrated with Banana Splits! :)

Then today was Kindergarten Rodeo. He was excited to dress up this morning, but just kind of went through the motions at the actual rodeo. He did good though. They did barrel racing (with stick horses), wagon races, and potato sac races. They had fun. They ended it with the chicken dance. Who doesn't love the chicken dance?!? And Mommy *MAY* have let him leave school an hour or two early when it was finished.

YEE-HAW....Now on to Spring Break.....

No More Training Wheels

Today Frank was cleaning out the garage and Ellie saw G's old bike and said, "I want to ride this one without training wheels." So Frank put her on and first try, little Miss Ellie Belly took off. No need to coach her much on how to ride a bike without training wheels...just how to stop. Her little legs are just so short that she can't touch the ground. So when she stops, instead of putting her foot down like a normal person would, she has to lean the bike to the side and put her foot down. We are still working on that part. Today she'd just crash and jump up with a smile and say, "I'm okay." I think it will be a matter of days and her pretty little blue beach bike will be training wheel free. We were so proud of her and she was so proud of herself. She kept telling me, "I am so proud of myself." She said, "I am not old enough to ride without training wheels and I did it." Sooo cute. I just love her. What a little BIG girl!
And on a side note, she informed her Daddy this morning that they will dance to "I Loved Her First" at her wedding. And as I type this she is at the rodeo with her girlfriend seeing the Jonas Brothers. I tell you what...this little girl is growing before my very eyes.

A Boy and His Dog

Gav has been asking since we first brought Tippy home if he could sleep with him. We decided it was time to try it out (It's only been 2.5 years). Tippy is an outside dog except for at night when he sleeps in a crate. Well, I don't know who was more excited, Gavin or Tippy.....Look at the pictures and tell me what you think??

And I am pleased to report that they both slept the ENTIRE night without barking or accidents. :) :) :)

G in the Paper

Yep, he met the tooth fairy at school the other day. He was so excited that day...and I was excited to see a picture of it in the paper yesterday!

The Compliant and Not So Compliant Cowgirls

Today was Go Western Day at school. I was so excited to dress both girls up but especially Hadley. I have some really cute pictures of Ellie when she was Hadley's age, in the same outfit and I was hoping to get some of Hads this morning. Got her all dressed, put on her pink boots, she was really excited about it all. That was until the camera came out. This girl, HATES the camera. Screams, cries, yells "NO" to me, and refuses to look at the camera. It's so much fun for a person who just wants a good picture. Ellie on the other hand poses and smiles. I'm not sure she LOVES the camera, but she does it because she knows it makes me happy. She is wearing the same outfit from last year...And the 2T skirt fits just perfect! We drove all around town yesterday in search for some cowgirl boots for her with no luck. I had found G's from when he was 3 and put them on her and they fit. So I tied some little pink bows on the side and she wore them proudly. :) Nothing like recycling.
I finally got to school 30 minutes late after trying endlessly to cheer the cowgirl up for a picture. She did great once the camera went away...then I'd pull it out thinking we were over the tears and as soon as she would see it the tears would come out again. We did this over and over until I gave up. So, these will have to do.
Here are my two little cowgirls this morning..

I started with Ellie as we attempted both at first but Hadley was screaming:
Hadleys turn..

Took the camera away and got this one a few minutes later but as you can see underneath...the tears came back quickly.

Got her happy on Rody...
That didn't work for long either..
Got ready to go in the car and she was excited to be going to school so I thought, what the heck, I'll try outside....nope..

Ellie was still willing to take some pictures to appease her Mama..
Running into school. Pretty happy...but won't look at me..
Nope.... NOT going to look....
Another parent stopped and tried to help me get a picture and she looked at us right here and said, "I go insi..(Inside) I see Ms. Renee."

The other parent put them down on the curb like this and Hadley refused to look at us...then when Ellie put her arm around her, she shrugged her off....

She was NOT having her picture made today. Not with my camera. She can be such a little STINKER sometimes. As soon as we got inside she was running and happy. The girl loves preschool....but obviously hates the camera. I was so DETERMINED to get a good picture...but Hadley won. She won today......And all I keep hearing in my head is, as my dad would say, "payback." Strong willed children- gotta love them!
