The Move- Before and Afters of the House

Finally, after almost three months of planning, picking out, and renovating...it was time to move. We really gutted our new little house. We painted all the walls from top to bottom, and changed out every fixture, faucet, counter top and floor.
Here are the before pictures:

And after all the renovations.....

As much as we love the "new" inside of our house, the yard is still our favorite part.

Finally....we are almost done renovating and the movers came to pack us and got us moved to our new house. I cried like a baby saying goodbye to our old neighborhood, memories there, and friends. But we are still close to them, and have been busy trying to get settled to make our new home, a home. Shutters, furniture, and resurfacing the pool are all we have left. Phewwwww..... I fully expect that this will be our home for YEARS to come. We are loving it here and excited about the new memories that will be made.

Another Season of Baseball

Gavin really, REALLY has found his niche in sports. I am going to be surprised after this season if Baseball is not his sport of choice. He is a great athlete and really shined this year on his team. He takes it seriously too. He had the most OUTS, HITS, and RBI's on his team this season. He was awarded five game balls, and made many of the winning outs- three being double plays. He is fast, he can play every position and he has mastered how the game is played. He was really hoping for an out of the park hit, and although he was close, hitting the fence plenty of times, he never did it. Maybe next season. He got a black eye, swollen jaw, and bloody lip this season. He is the master at catching the ball, then running and diving to a base to get a player out....even when they are running and accidentally get you in the head. I swear sometimes I wish they wore a helmet the entire game. It was an exciting season though. He had lots of cheerleaders. Our families, neighbors, and even his teacher all came to see him play, and we are all already looking forward to Fall ball.

Hadley's Spring Program

One of the cutest SonKids programs yet. I loved watching Hadley practice her songs for her Spring Program. She was so excited to have us all there to watch her perform.

Her winking may have been one of my favorite parts...

Fine Arts Show

Gavin did a great job in his Fine Arts show at school. They sang songs and he had a dancing part. Then we got to walk around the school and view all the kids Art work. It was a fun night and he was thrilled to show us all he has been doing!

EASTER 2012

We love Easter. We love what it means, and all the fun activities and traditions that we do every year. We started with Resurrection rolls. Each year as I read to the kids the story from the bible they get it a little more every year. I love that! Gavin and Ellie are truly starting to realize the meaning of Easter and how incredibly loved we are by God and all he has done for us.

Then we dyed Easter Eggs. Two dozen of them!!

The next morning the kids were thrilled to find that the Easter Bunny had come.

He even left bunny prints outside...

The kids were ready to hunt..

Then it was off to Church for Service and the Kids Hunt...

After church we went to my sisters house to celebrate with them. We went fishing along their canal and caught some big fish!!

Gavins:

Mitch's:

And Mine:

We ended the day with a few shots with our cousins:

It was an awesome Easter!! The kids were so wiped from all the fun that they were asleep before we even left my sisters neighborhood. All three of them!!!!!

34

I had a fabulous 34th. Life has been crazy with moving, and renovating...but we took a break for my birthday. The kids woke me up and gave me a present they picked out all on their own for me- a new fishing pole. :) I really do love to fish- but never do anymore....maybe now I will.

Frank got me a new video camera that we have desperately been needing. Maybe now my kids will have more than iphone videos. That is the hope anyway. :) My sweet hubby got me Cheesecake factory take out for our family celebration. Chicken Medeira and two cheesecakes- carrot cake cheesecake and brownie cheesecake- yum!!!!! It was a great birthday! I have been looking forward to a new year- 34 is going to be a GREAT one- I can feel it!!!
