Gingerbread House Party

Our neighborhood has an annual gingerbread house making party. This year there were 40 houses decorated! It seems that each month more and more kids are moving into the neighborhood. It has been a lot of fun. This party is WELL organized.

I love how they flip over the book shelves to make divided bins to hold the candy.

The houses were assembled the day before by a few moms so the kids come, get their candy from the bins and then start decorating.

And it is always fun to be hanging out with your buddies while you decorate.

The kids had fun.

I remember thinking that I was scared there wouldn't be any kids in our neighborhood for our kids to play with. I have to laugh now. We couldn't be happier with how friendly and neighborly our new hood is. And we love going to all the get togethers.
