Eating My Words...

So many of you have been telling me about the "Twilight" series of books. And I haven't heard of ANYONE NOT liking it. A few of you even invited me to see the movie and I laughed at your eagerness seeing the FIRST showing on opening day and I had ZERO interest. I am not a Vampire kind of girl. And it is supposed to be a teenage novel. Seriously..who would have thought???? Well, I am confessing....and eating my words. It is BY FAR the BEST book I have read in a long time. I couldn't put the first book Twilight down. I read it last weekend in two days. And trust me when I say it was painful to take a break from it. Then after finishing it, I had to get my hands on the next book. A friend let me borrow it and I read it this past weekend in two days. And these are not short books people. And I am not a fast reader. It's just once you start reading YOU CAN'T put the book down. So I finished New Moon this morning and my sweet friend handed me Eclipse (the third book in the series) at church today. She knew how addicting they are and assumed I would probably finish the second book over the weekend. I looked at Frank and just laughed when she handed it to me. He gave her a sarcastic "thank you." I think he thinks he has lost me to the Vampires. LOL. I keep telling him only two more books and then he'll have me back. And can I tell you how excited I am to see the movie that comes out on DVD the 21st of this month? Pathetic, I know....but I am addicted.

Oh, girl! Welcome to the Twilight obsession! I fell in love with the books and could not put them down. I am ashamed to admit that I also fell in love with a fictional character, which I never knew was possible! :) Enjoy!

I just started Twilight on our trip this weekend! I too, was not interested, but after all the girls in my neighborhood read them all and couldn't stop talking about it, I gave it a try. I read all night in our hotel with a flashlight, while my family slept.

okay, you KNOW I was just like you too because we just talked about it, but I am also officially addicted and pretty sure I am IN LOVE with Edward! I haven't finished it yet, but will within the next day or two which says a LOT since it is like a 500 page book and I will have finished it in a WEEK! We will have to chat all about it! I need to go find the second one now so I am ready!

Your words are mine word for word. Me, into Vampire books, no! Is it really that good? I have really started enjoying reading too so maybe I should check it out.

Isn't it embarrassing how good this vampire teen lit stuff is? I am crazy about it. I think I am in love with Edward. How did she make a vampire seem so dang attractive? LOL. I have purposely not even opened Eclipse because I have house shopping to do. But its day is near, very near!
