Cheer Team

Last year Ellie's tumbling coach had talked her into trying cheer team. I let her go one time and then got scared away by the commitment and practice times. But I made a deal with her. If she were to try dance this year and she didn't like it, I'd let her try out for competitive cheer this year. After three classes she quit dance back in the fall. This girl didn't forget my promise and still wanted to try out for cheer team, so we let her. She was very excited to try out. But then she didn't make the team she really wanted. She was too little and they want her to learn to be a flyer because of her size. She is okay with it now because all she really cares about is being on a team. After two practices she is making friends and really liking being part of team. This little one will be competing in cheer competitions this next fall:
She is ready, and has been doing lots of practicing.

I love watching my kids do what they love. And this is definitely what Ellie loves right now.

35

I really could care less about my birthday. But my hubby and kids like to spoil me. For my birthday I got an early morning Starbucks and some beautiful flowers from my hubby. The kids picked me out some bright colored new running shoes that are awesome. But my favorite gift was a new camera. You never know how much you will miss it until it is gone. My camera got dropped over spring break and wasn't fixable. I debated switching brands from canon to nikon. But after playing with each, I decided to go with the Canon again. I did buy a heavier duty one this go round so hopefully I will have it a bit longer than my last three. :)

I had a really relaxing day and enjoyed mini bundt cake(s) for my cake of choice.

I was telling my sister that when you have "C" you age quite a bit....so 35 sounds young still. It's all about how you feel anyway. Not the number, right?!?

Thirty. Five.
I am blessed.

Easter 2013

My camera broke over Spring Break so that is why there has been a lack of blogging lately. I finally got a new camera, but was using my iphone for awhile and therefore didn't take *many* pictures.

Easter was great. We had been watching the bible mini series as a family and talking a lot about the true meaning of Easter. It was awesome that it ended with Jesus's death & Resurrection on Easter Sunday.

We dyed eggs like always. My girls quickly stripped down to their underwear so it didn't make for many good "good" blog pictures. But here they are.

After dying eggs, Gavin tracked where the Easter Bunny was on my computer and then they all went to sleep easily as they were excited about Easter Morning.
Our Bunny always leaves footprints. Ellie didn't understand why no one else had paw prints---Oops.

He ate his carrots, hid eggs, and left them some loot...

We had bunny bread and boiled eggs for breakfast and then headed to church...

After church we headed out to my sisters to celebrate. We had a yummy meal and then headed home in the rain to get ready for the finale of the Bible Series.

It was a very relaxing day. And a good day to reflect on just how wonderful our God is. Christ died on the cross for our sins and on the third day he rose again and the tomb was empty. Jesus fulfilled all that he said he would, proving he was who he said he was...the son of God.

I hope you all had a Happy Easter!
